Curriculum Session #1 – Steven’s Story

This video clip captures the first moment that Steven, a graduate of the Parents in Recovery Program, and his son first set eyes on each other in 10 years. Steven is a great example of a parent who focused on his recovery, managed his pain, and improved his life.

Curriculum Session #3 – Oscar’s Story

This documentary clip is about one young man, Oscar, age 18, and his journey to explore his own family legacy and to reconcile with a father who abandoned him years earlier. While the story focuses on Oscar and his biological father, the main ideas are relevant to all parents and children.

Curriculum Sessions #4 and #5 – Antonio’s Story

In the following documentary clip you’ll see and feel the connection between these fathers and their children. Fathers and children have better emotional and physical health when dads are positively engaged with their sons and daughters.

Curriculum Session #8 – Scott’s Story
This documentary clip shows the story of Scott, a man who grew up with an abusive father and had to grapple with his own choices with intimate partner violence. As he recounts the story of his violent and abusive past, we witness his and his family’s transformations.
