Session #1 - Steve’s Story

This video clip shows Steven, a graduate of the Parents In Recovery Program, who had lost contact with his son when he was active in his addiction. Steven eventually got sober and tried for many years to get in touch with him, but got no response. Then, after a full 10 years of silence, Steven received a call from his now teenage son that he wanted to reconnect.

This video clip captures the first moment they set eyes on each other in 10 years. Steven is a great example of a parent who focused on his recovery, managed his pain, and improved his life.
